Why do I need to have my Hair and Make-up Professionally done for my bridal pictures and wedding?

Professional hair and makeup is one of the most affordable vendor services you will book for your wedding. Most people won’t spend much time looking at place cards and favors but will be looking at you, the bride, in person and in your photos and video. Don’t shortchange yourself on your wedding day!

It is SO important that your hair and make-up last throughout the day and evening. A hairstylist who specializes in updos is invaluable. Even if you are having a downdo, hair needs to hold its style. All hairdos need to have good hold while being comfortable and have a beautiful flow.

Makeup can absorb or reflect light; a knowledgeable makeup artist will know what to use on your face and décolletage for a flawless, cohesive look in person and under lights and cameras.

Consider paying for hair and makeup (or a portion thereof) as a bridesmaid’s gift. The first step is to contact us with your wedding date, location where you are getting ready and approximate number of people for hair and for makeup. Once we have determined availability, we can provide you with a more detailed quote and schedule your hair and makeup trial.

The best way to prepare for a trial run is to look through pictures of certain hairstyles and make-up “looks” that you like. Also what is the style of your dress and will you be wearing any accessories or a veil in your hair? This will be a great help to the stylist and you will arrive prepared for a successful trial.

The next step is to book us for your wedding by signing a contract and providing a deposit. This can be done following your trial or at a later date but many brides prefer to book us before their trials or at their trials to ensure we are still available for their dates.

I have a stylist at my salon and a favorite makeup artist at my local department store. Is it best to go to them on my wedding day?

It’s important to remember that your artists should specialize in bridal makeup and hairstyling. Your regular stylist may be skilled in cutting and color but styling is a specialty area of its own as is bridal makeup compared to makeup for a night on the town.
